It can be lonely out in front. 

You get it done. You take the hill, you face the challenge, you rally the troops and encourage the weary. You address the issue, you cast the vision, you roll out the solution. But you are so much more than what you get done. Whatever position you hold, you’re a human being first. Your human needs don’t evaporate when the pressures of your position loom larger than life. Yet your personhood – the deep-down core stuff that makes you you –  needs to thrive in order for everything else in your life to flourish. How do you make sure you can thrive as a person while you’re getting it done? Who can you trust with your moments of low clarity, sensitive decisions, conflict with key players, even exhaustion and anxiety about what you know others need in light of your own limitations?  

What is stopping you from being both an effective leader and a healthy human? High-octane people can have equilibrium in REAL LIFE, but it never just happens.  It takes hard work to get rightly connected to the whole truth of who you are, what you think/feel, how you choose, and what you do. And as a human being, you’re not hard-wired to get there alone. If you’re out in front, unless you have a mentor outside of immediate family and work who is able to model this rare wholeness, you likely need a coach.

What’s the coaching process like?

Since this journey is yours to steer and own, you will:

  • identify what’s most important to you and what it’s worth (what you’re willing to actually do) to cultivate and protect it

  • commit fully to the process based on goals you set with my help, including intentional enactment, open engagement in sessions, evaluating and adjusting goals when necessary 

  • complete any agreed-upon pre-work in advance, to optimize our coaching sessions

    Your Concord coach will:

    • create a safe, confidential space for you to get real about tough issues

    • ask questions to clarify what’s most important to you right now

    • help you narrow down your current goal(s) and what it will take to address them

    • guide you through self-evaluation to find any areas of possible discord (disconnection or un-optimized connection) that can compromise your progress

    • co-create a concrete plan to reach your goal(s) while bringing you into deeper “concord” (aligned with peak wholeness, strength, and integration), adjusting as needed along the way

    • email you a summary of each session, including any related resources and pre-work to complete before the next session based on your current situation, enabling you to gain momentum at your own speed
